February 9th – 10th – 11th, 2024 Introductory Course on AAI
Are you an aspiring animal co-therapist? Are you a veterinarian looking to specialize in AAI (Animal-Assisted Interventions)? Do you want to become responsible for activities or projects, or an intervention coordinator?
The introductory course, scheduled from February 9th to 11th, 2024, organized in collaboration with ForModena, Azienda Agricola Villa Forni, and Ragliando si Impara ASD, will be a perfect opportunity to build the foundations of a specific expertise in the field of Animal-Assisted Interventions.
Animal-Assisted Interventions (AAI), encompassing a wide range of paths aimed at care, rehabilitation, and well-being promotion, promote and enhance the human-animal relationship, thus representing a truly enriching experience for all involved parties.
I’M Possible, as an entity recognized by the Emilia Romagna Region for providing this type of training, will be delighted to introduce you to the world of Animal-Assisted Interventions and let you experience firsthand what it means to live and work closely with animals.
The introductory course provides basic knowledge about Animal-Assisted Interventions (AAI) and the human-animal relationship, ethical aspects, national regulations, and the contents of the Guidelines. It also allows for a deeper understanding of the team’s role, the responsibilities of various professional figures and operators, and introduces some AAI experiences.
This course is common and mandatory for all individuals working in AAI and is necessary to access all training courses required to work in the field of Animal-Assisted Interventions.
For the Activity Manager of AAI, the training path may conclude with the completion of the introductory course only.
Entry requirements
Fulfillment of the right and duty to education and training. Participation of 20 recipients per edition is planned. Selection will only be carried out if the number of candidates meeting the requirements exceeds the available slots. In such cases, priority will be given based on the order of application.

Certificate issued
At the end of the course and upon passing the learning assessment, a certificate of attendance is issued. To be eligible for the final assessment, it is necessary to have attended at least 90% of the scheduled hours. The propaedeutic course is required to access all the training courses provided for working in AAI.
